Ezechiel 31:14

SV	Opdat zich geen waterrijke bomen verheffen over hun stam, en hun top niet opsteken boven het midden der dichte takken, en geen [bomen], die water drinken, op zichzelven staan vanwege hun hoogte; want zij zijn allen overgegeven ter dood, tot het onderste der aarde, in het midden der mensenkinderen, tot degenen, die in den kuil nederdalen.
WLC	לְמַ֡עַן אֲשֶׁר֩ לֹא־יִגְבְּה֨וּ בְקֹומָתָ֜ם כָּל־עֲצֵי־מַ֗יִם וְלֹֽא־יִתְּנ֤וּ אֶת־צַמַּרְתָּם֙ אֶל־בֵּ֣ין עֲבֹתִ֔ים וְלֹֽא־יַעַמְד֧וּ אֵלֵיהֶ֛ם בְּגָבְהָ֖ם כָּל־שֹׁ֣תֵי מָ֑יִם כִּֽי־כֻלָּם֩ נִתְּנ֨וּ לַמָּ֜וֶת אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ תַּחְתִּ֗ית בְּתֹ֛וךְ בְּנֵ֥י אָדָ֖ם אֶל־יֹ֥ורְדֵי בֹֽור׃ ס
Trans.	ləm^a‘an ’ăšer lō’-yiḡəbəhû ḇəqwōmāṯām kāl-‘ăṣê-mayim wəlō’-yitənû ’eṯ-ṣammarətām ’el-bên ‘ăḇōṯîm wəlō’-y^a‘aməḏû ’ēlêhem bəḡāḇəhām kāl-šōṯê māyim kî-ḵullām nitənû lammāweṯ ’el-’ereṣ t^aḥətîṯ bəṯwōḵə bənê ’āḏām ’el-ywōrəḏê ḇwōr:

AC	יד למען אשר לא יגבהו בקומתם כל עצי מים ולא יתנו את צמרתם אל בין עבתים ולא יעמדו אליהם בגבהם כל שתי מים כי כלם נתנו למות אל ארץ תחתית בתוך בני אדם--אל יורדי בור {פ}
ASV	to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, neither set their top among the thick boughs, nor that their mighty ones stand up on their height, [even] all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
BE	In order that no trees by the waters may be lifted up in their growth, putting their tops among the clouds; and that no trees which are watered may take their place on high: for they are all given up to death, to the lowest parts of the earth among the children of men, with those who go down to the underworld.
Darby	to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, nor set their top amidst the thick boughs, and that none of them that drink water stand up in his height by himself; for they are all given over unto death in the lower parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
ELB05	auf daß keine Bäume am Wasser wegen ihres Wuchses sich überheben und ihren Wipfel bis zwischen die Wolken strecken, und keine Wassertrinkenden auf sich selbst sich stützen wegen ihrer Höhe; denn sie alle sind dem Tode hingegeben in die untersten Örter der Erde, mitten unter den Menschenkindern, zu denen hin, welche in die Grube hinabgefahren sind. -
LSG	Afin que tous les arbres près des eaux n'élèvent plus leur tige, Et qu'ils ne lancent plus leur cime au milieu d'épais rameaux, Afin que tous les chênes arrosés d'eau ne gardent plus leur hauteur; Car tous sont livrés à la mort, aux profondeurs de la terre, Parmi les enfants des hommes, Avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
Sch	auf daß sich hinfort kein Baum am Wasser wegen seiner Höhe überhebe und seinen Wipfel bis zu den Wolken erhebe; daß auch alle Großen unter ihnen, die vom Wasser getränkt werden, nicht mehr in ihrer Höhe dastehen, da sie doch alle dem Tode preisgegeben sind, der Unterwelt, inmitten der Menschenkinder, die zur Grube hinabfahren.
